#Hollywood is teaching kids to smoke

When Hollywood elites aren’t lecturing you on how you should vote, they’re busy making movies that teach your kids how to smoke.

With more and more films marketed to youth that depict actors smoking, a new report released Thursday recommends that movies with such images be given an R-rating.

The number of PG-13 films with actors smoking jumped from 564 in 2010 to 809 in 2016, according to the report. Nearly half of all films that depicted smoking were designed as kid-friendly or youth-rated, according to the report from the University of California, San Francisco and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control Prevention as well as other groups.

The report noted that movies that hit the top ten in the box office for at least one week between 2010 and 2016 were chosen for the study, accounting for 95 percent of movie tickets sold in that time frame.

The report suggests that public subsidies should not go to support movies that portray smoking.
